Meeting Fatigue States
Mar 20, 2025This practice explores meeting states of fatigue, it is designed to support low energy through gentle, intentional movement. Rather than trying to 'boost' energy levels, we explore ways to meet fatigue where it exists within our tissues, cultivating a compassionate and nurturing relationship with these areas.
Our bodies often hold tension as a form of self-protection. Instead of forcing through it, we use simple somatic practices to recognise and attend to areas in need. Interestingly, this kind of gentle work can sometimes feel more tiring than strenuous exercise. This is because we are actively releasing stored tension, shifting away from heightened stress responses, and easing out of ‘wired and tired’ states that deplete our energy too quickly.
Through soft, mindful movement, we allow both body and mind to settle into a space of ease. As tension dissolves, we move towards clarity and calm, fostering a more balanced and restorative state within ourselves.
